Haylie Duff's feud with Paris Hilton over the rights to a pop song has prompted the beauty to back out of plans to become a singer. Napoleon Dynamite star Duff, older sister of teen singer and actress Hilary, was locked in a bitter battle with the hotel heiress over the track Screwed, which they both recorded for their debut albums but never released. And now 20-year-old Duff has taken her woes as a sign that her music career was never meant to be. She says, "I'd really like to (get back into singing). I just haven't been focused on it. The first time when I was working on an album, I had all these problems with songs." "I just don't like having a lot of drama in my life, and when it started happening, I was like, 'Maybe this is a sign that it's not the right time to do it.' It will come back when it's supposed to."

Thanks to Triple Threat

The whole Paris Hilton / "Screwed thing is just really annoying, why did the writers give it to both of them, when only Haylie had the rights to release it? Well, it seems now that the song is Paris' because I read on another forum that she has remixed it to be on her debut album...

I've heard Paris Screwed  , & she did quite a good job with it. If Haylie back out of the song it most likely she think Paris have the upper hand.

I don't really think so, it's more like, the song was no longer "new" it had been done before, by someone quite famous (not for singing exactly, but still) and I don't think that's what she wanted

Well, Paris's version had been leaked since at the end of last year, yet I still haven't heard of Haylie's. But, if any of them try to release it as a single there better be a hot clip to go with it, & I think Paris can make a hotter clip than Haylie, with or without nightvision.
Also, selling record these days is all about hype, & sex. & Paris have a huge lead in both area compared to Haylie. :lol2:

lmfao........I see Paris doesn't have many fans

I'd rather neither of them had got rights to it, the lyrics totally suck. It isn't even worth being released by anyone.

The song isn't the best songs I've ever heard, but I'd prefer Paris singing 'Screwed' than Haylie I couldn't imagine her singing the song.

I think it would suit Paris more since shes more infamous with her dirty activities
