I know! People say that to me. They'll say: "You like Steps? But they're NO MORE! And they were crap anyway."
I'm like, "You think I don't know that they're gone?! And besides, if they were so crap, how comes they were the second best British group to the Beatles? Ha ha. In your face!!!" :D

The Beatles still have fans - but because Steps were a cheesy pop group then you're supposed to easily move on some other cheesy pop group etc.

I think the most annoying thing about being a fan of Steps, is eople judging your sexuality by your music tastes. For example, I went on ebay the other day, and one item was Steps book (gay interest). It really ****'d me off to put it blunt. And when I meet a new lady, I never like to tell them. B)

I heard people listening to All Saints today... and yet if I'd suggested they listen to Steps, they'd go mad!
... people will accept Steps again one day.

To Be fair, I think it depends on what the group gets up to in solo land. I think Fayes new direction will turn a few heads, and Claire will prob do better on her own. B)

I Agree,
But isnt that the case with just about any music these days...
In order to get a big following and fanbase most of the Artists play G.A.Y.
then because thats where theyve got the most recent recognition, its assumed anyone who likes them must be gay !!

Yeah, I never told my friends that I am a big fans of Steps. It's so strange for many boys in my country. Most of them love Linkin' Park, Avril Lavigne, Korn, or another rockstars. But I don't like rock music, absolutely!!! And I'm not a gay!

That's not much, I think. 12million records for 4 album + 15 singles around the world, it's not highlight! Some artists can sold that much only with 1 or 2 album, Westlife for example (Is it right?? Only my opinion)
And Steps' most success international album was only Step One... :(

Yes but never mind the other countries - they were British and they sold well in Britain! I've managed to convince my friends that they're not bad. When I said I liked Steps they said
"But they're soooooo gay"
...which was annoying. But I told them that I don't care what they think, that Steps sold 12 million records and that it's better than liking the Fast Food Rockers (I'm not dissing the FFR, but by saying this I proved my point). They don't mind it now - in fact the 'blokiest' lad in my year actually said to me:
"They weren't that bad really... I remember tragedy!" *did tragedy arm thing*
At the end of the day, they were naff - but they were the best naff group ever.
Look at what we have now - Fast Food Rockers. There's no comparison.

I completly agree. We cant help what music i like. I still love STEPS, i listen to gold more frequently now along with Atomic Kitten in the other disc player.
I dare say it, BUt i wish STEPS were very popular in Australia with Buzz and Gold, I mean i could have prooved to my friends that they're a band that had World Domination
LOL!
People who ditch steps are just afraid that they like their music. I always get that sorts of comments so I ignorne or reply back saying "I know u are but what are they?"

However, Steps is still the most popular boys&girls group in my country (or maybe all around the world). Nobody don't know Steps, even they don't like Steps.
And I think S Club 7 at 2nd. Liberty X, ATC, S Club 8, Hear'Say, Scandalous, A-Teens, etc. They're not very popular, many people don't know them.
So, is it true that Lee and H are gay?

I guess nobody really knows!
But here in Britain, saying that Steps are "gay" can have different meanings.
1. It can mean "Steps are rubbish".
2. It can mean "Only gay people listen to Steps"
3. It can mean "H and Lee are gay"
So I don't think Lee and H are gay... well... maybe H.
