If you want to hear what they sound like, don't listen to their songs, it won't help you at all. It's blatantly obvious that S Club 8 sing with the help of a computer and this is also why they never sing live.

Oh, actually, correction, they sang live once... and they were dreadful.

Whilst I admit they were not brilliant they were also not bad for a group of 11-13 year olds.
Also if you did see the performance you will notice who the "better" ones were, maybe thats why they made them more into the "lead" people as it were.

I totally agree with you. I dislike it when people blame computers for someone's good singing voice. I heard Stacey's audition and she was really good. I doubt the others sound bad.

Most of the reasons why singers/groups don't perform live on a TV show is, because the show doesn't want to pay the singer or group money to perform it live. By lipsyncing it saves the show money.

And just so you know, digitally enhanced voices can only do so much. You have to have a good voice as the basis to enhance it in anyway possible. You can't make a good voice sound great with a computer... you just can't. Even if their voices are helped, they still have good voices to begin with.

Ever heard the song "Gay boyfriend"? I'll upload you a clip as an example  A more obvious example is Cher's "Believe".

There you go... so digital "pitch correction" can be very useful, and you can actually tell it's been used on some of the S Club 8 songs.

Anyhow, I'm not knocking them. I quite like S Club 8.
