It's co-written by Lee. Therefore, it's original. Although a lot of people said it sounds like Ricky Martin's Livin' La Vida Loca.. Perhaps that's why you feel the "re-sung thingy"..

haha. i actually looked this song up on Ricky Martin's website because it sounds a lot like his stuff. but good to know that Lee is singing lead for once. my sisters and i always joke that he's only adding to the look of the band cuz he rarely ever has a lead part in a song. i like the song.
