View Full Version : Which Singles?
Which singles do u think should be released from In The Zone?
Heres mine:
1. MATM - :P
2. BOOM BOOM BOOM - US release, unless edited for UK radio edit.
2. Breathe On Me - UK release - would go down really well in clubs etc!
3. Toxic - This sooooo has to be a single it is amazing! And this sort of thing reminds me of sweet dreams my la ex which was a massive hit!
4. Shadow - Would show off britneys vocals really well!

None we demand new album!
No erm , Toxic yes, that does have UK potential there
Boom Boom will need to have all that crap taken out from it i.e basically the entire 1st minute LOL
Depends where Jive or BMG want to take her, Outrageous is the more obvious RnB song - stations like Radio1 might play it "cos it was produced by R. Kelly" - sad but probably true.
Yeh! I love boom boom n everything but them twins just go on n on lol!
Look what i just found at ubritney.com :
"The next single will be (I Got That) Boom Boom worldwide. Following that, it will be Toxic and then a split single of Touch Of My Hand/Everytime. BMG stated this. They also said that this is subject to change."
So seems as tho these seem to be the ones that will get released its just breathe on me would do great and boom boom needs editin! Who knows if its true tho!

I reckon
2) I Got That Boom Boom - I don't think the single necessarily NEEDS the Ying Yang crap removed, although almost 5 minutes would be WAY too long for radio so an edit would be inevitable.
3) Breathe On Me - It's good, but the more I hear it, the more I doubt it would stand up as a single alone. I don't know why, but there's nothing remarkable about it.
4) Outrageous - I do like this song, although I'm not sure I could stand it on constant radio rotation.
5) Shadow/Everytime/Showdown - I think the most obvious and instant ballad would be Shadow, but Everytime has something appealing, it's much like I'm Not A Girl...it's Britney completely exposed without the computers. Although, it really needs to be re-recorded with a PROPER piano, as the one in the song sounds like a Xylophone. And Showdown, I think it's better than Toxic and is catchy. Although Showdown blatantly won't be released because the unwritten rule of Britney albums can't be broken, the first 2 tracks are singles, and track 3 can NEVER be a single, and then track 4 is a single.

I can't see why Britney would have performed Breathe On Me on that CD:UK special if there were no plans to release it. I know some acts perform an album track, but Britney has never done it before, and it seems unlikely she would start doing it now.

I agree there, unless the bods at BMG change it Boom Boom and Breathe On Me are likely to be singles.
Shame though it means she probably won't be back here to promote both of them ... so its not going to help the album which is gonna die big time here unless something magic happens (wheres Harry Potter when you need him  )

Blech! Everyone loves Toxic! Am I not hearing something when I listen to it? It's one of those songs that works in theory with the classical music and all, but it really doesn't work for me. Unless of course it had a video that resembled Robin Hood because that's what the song reminds me of.

We played all of Britneys album on college radio last week and not many people liked "Breathe On Me", the most popular ones were "I Got That Boom Boom", "Touch Of My Hand", "Everytime" and "Outrageous"! so she should release them!!!!
Just bcos ur college friends like them! :D
Who knows what is gonna happen. Maybe for once the right decision will be made and they will release toxic or breathe on me next!

i think it should be:
1) Me Against The Music - Ft. Madonna
2) I Got That Boom Boom (USA) / Breathe On Me (Europe)
3) Touch Of My Hand
4) Everytime
5) Toxic (USA)
6) Outrageous (USA)
* Toxic/Outrageous (Europe Double A'd)

Like I said, I'm in 2 minds about Breathe On Me. On one hand people are going to be like "This is Britney?!" but on the other hand it's quite monotonous to listen to, it doesn't go anywhere.

This album is dead, we need a new one! LOL
Even her US tour is only 25 dates at this moment!
No chance getting it here into the UK then! LOL

Brave New Girl NEEEEEEEEDS to be released!
I love it!
But I think BOM would do really well in the UK, as would Shadow and Outragous! They should be released in that order too!

Yes, but I was championing Toxic in early December! LOL :P
Outrageous (Remix) f/ R. Kelly would be the next one, but I don't think Jive might go for that just yet ...

I daren't guess what they might release next. Most people suspected Toxic would be A single at some point, but no-one saw it coming as single #2!
Breathe On Me - Very good choice for Europe indeed, questionable for the US tho. Within the tour it should keep ITZ rolling perfectly and might be massive over here
Everytime - Good choice for Europe and the US. It probably will not do as well as BOM in Europe, but could do better in the US.
I Got That Boom Boom - Might do ok or good in the US and Europe. Will do as well as Everytime in the US, might only do mediocre in Europe tho.
Outrageous - BANG .. ITZ is dead.
The ONLY sensible release for Europe at this point of her career is Breathe On Me to keep the Up-Tempo going and have a huge hit in Europe within the Tour.
The BETTER release for the US should be I Got That Boom Boom. It might end up in the Top40 in the US, needs some shortening tho (especially the first minute).
The fourth release MUST be Everytime worldwide, nice autumn release, shows off versality of ITZ nicely.
The fifth single should be Breathe On Me/(probably Early Morning) in the US or BOM alone. Should go do perfect on the Dancefloors :D.
The Fifth single in Europe should be I Got That Boom Boom with another song, perhaps Early Morning aswell, or IGTBB only :) ..
END - ITZ sells at least 9 million wordwide ;)
Me Against The Music
Toxic
Touch Of My Hand
Breathe On Me (Europe)//I Got That Boom Boom or Outrageous (US)
And then Boom Boom or Outrageous will at least be released in the UK afterwards probably...

Brave new girl, everytime & shadow.
Boom Boom or Outrageous seemed single-ish. then maybe after that Breathe On Me.
