two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Kelly Clarkson performed in the “GRAMMYs On The Hill” event in Washington D.C.

Demonstrating the world-class performance and sonic integrity of JBL Professional loudspeakers, two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Kelly Clarkson performed in the “GRAMMYs On The Hill” event in Washington D.C. on September 6. Hosted by The Recording Academy®'s Producers & Engineers Wing (P&E Wing), the event featured “Making The Record,” a recording session with Clarkson and members of the United States Congress, during which producer Jimmy Jam explained the recording process to an enthusiastic audience of legislators in the Cannon House Office Building Caucus Room on Capitol Hill.

The recording session logistics were produced by a team of P&E Wing members including producers/engineers Malcolm Harper, Glenn Lorbecki, and Mike Clink, while the song itself, a new composition titled “Maybe” and co-written by Clarkson, was produced by Jason Halbert. Eight members of Congress, including Representatives Mary Bono, R-Calif. and Stenny Hoyer, D-Maryland, who co-chairs the Recording Arts & Sciences Congressional Caucus, provided instrumental support. The temporary onsite recording studio, built specifically for the event, featured a state-of-the-art audio system, including JBL LSR4300 Series studio monitors.
