okay guys thanks for the info congrats claire and i was going to ask a few questions my self (e.g. whose the father and who is reece - but i didnt cos i did read the posts thats why i said i was gonna ask)
clairebear
7th Dec 2006, 14:33
i guess that means she's never gonna release any solo material, at least not for a while anyway!!!
Oh well maybe her baby will become a singer lol
SeanieB
7th Dec 2006, 14:40
To be honest I accepted a long time ago that she was never going to go solo, even back in april when she said she'd been in the studio, i still wasnt convinced...
I always thought the only way we'd get her back was if steps reformed... and thats as likely as it ever was... just might be a year or two later than perhaps it would have originally been now... lol

Who's your friend exactly? I highly doubt she just walked up to him and said "Hey! I'm pregnant!". How would/does he know Claire? Just out of curiosity?
Oh and PS
She would make a good mother. She can sing the baby to sleep easily!

I imagine she would foghorn the baby's ears with her powerful voice and make the poor child upset. :lol2:
Tremendous news for Claire though. Our first STEPS baby!

Lol how rude. I love it when you choose to share happy news with people and all they can do is question you.
Robert has always got on very well with Claire. She chose to tell him coz she wanted the fans to know and knew he could do it for her.

If she's five months pregnant then we can expect little Clarabel in April!!! Ooooh! Can't wait!!!! What dya reckon Claire will call him/her? Ii'd be funny if she named the baby after one of the other Steps mambers eh? As a memoir?!
SeanieB

she wont... shes not that... erm stupid...
jake/dylan for a boy i rekon

9th Dec 2006, 13:59
i think if its a girl, it be a cute girly name. Something along the lines of Chloe or something like that. It be very girly and very Claire.
And namin the poor thing after any steppers is just wrong.. middle name possibly but not a first name.
SeanieB
9th Dec 2006, 14:14
I reckon claires more likely to use a relatives name for the middle name... like her mum or dad or grandparents...
btw i've told claire about the messages, so its possible she'll stop by to read them soon...

9th Dec 2006, 17:36
I betcha Claire will be a fabulous mum! She'll be one of the few popstar mums without:
-A drug problem
-An alcohol problem
-A tendancy to show her "lady-bits" in public
And she seems fairly sensible and grounded.

Yeah I said that. Or Annabelle or something.
Ive changed my mind, I do still really want it to be a girl but I think shes having a boy!
Mixmaster
9th Dec 2006, 18:20
Perhaps she'll give the baby a simple name, like John or Laura, you know, one that isn't a "celebrity" name if you like. But I suppose she could always give it a name that "stands out", like Sapphire or something, you know, a memorable name. But then again this is me innit? my opinion don't count!

welcome to the darkside! :p
she suits a baby boy... i dont know why she just does!
claires probably the kind of person who'd be lucky enough to have one of each, and they'll be perfectly good looking and talented in whatever they do

9th Dec 2006, 19:34
She did choose Baby Boy in the SMTV strip search thing yeaaaaaaaaaars ago...not that that has any bearing on this tho.

smelleykins
9th Dec 2006, 23:47

Imagine Twins!!! There'd be no end!!! She'll have her hands full!!! Which, sadly, means no solo material for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong while. *sniff*
Good luck Claire!
smelleykins
10th Dec 2006, 16:14
lol i don't think we'll get any solo material from Claire. She's happy doing what she's doing now. And with a baby on the way thers no chance full stop. x
Stepstar90
10th Dec 2006, 16:15
I think Claire's return to music is very distant now, if at all.
Water Goblinglitter
10th Dec 2006, 18:06
It always was. I dont think she was ever planning to go solo.
Stepstar90
10th Dec 2006, 18:14
I mean in terms of the Steps reunion, rather than a solo project.
SeanieB
10th Dec 2006, 19:37
I think thats still as likely to happen as it was before Claire got pregnant...
in the past year I kinda accepted that the only way we'd get Claire back was through a steps reunion... and thats still the case.
I dunno what her position is on the runion, but I'd imagine she'd say the same as the rest of them already have!
"never say never"
"maybe one day"
etc...
I guess Claire aggreeing depends on what happens when the baby arrives, and how being a mother treats her...
Truestepper
10th Dec 2006, 19:51
Im calling 7lb 10oz !
Oi bitch thats my guess *look up the topic a lil bit*
clairebear
10th Dec 2006, 20:00
sometimes you can tell what the baby is going to be, if her bump is low down it'll be a boy, if she has a nice round tum it'll be a girl, thats how i knew my mum was having a girl and my cousin was having a boy lolz
ill say the baby willbe 6lb 2oz!!

Sean, thats not always the case. My old best friend (bitch) from school is a twin and her mum had no idea she was expecting twins til the second one (the bitch) popped out. Alot of women don't know they're having a multiple birth til they all start shooting out.

Please melanie, they've got things such as scans these days, back in your day you had to rely on puttin your ear to a pregnant womans stomach to make sure it wasnt just wind
Truestepper
10th Dec 2006, 23:30
Sean you know NOTHING. Of course it's possible for a woman to be carrying more than one baby and not know about it. FFS some women don't even KNOW they're pregnant until they go into labour. Stop being such a f***ing smart arse! And of course there was ultrasound back when I was born.

That did make me chuckle.
I think Claire should "do a Geri" and give it a ridiculous, headline-grabbing name to give her some coverage in the tabloids.
Richard Richards for a boy, and Richardola Richards for a girl.
Maybe we'll have a Karen Richards, after Karen Carpenter.
Or a Scott Lee Richards for a boy, after her out of STEPS. :lol2:
Truestepper
11th Dec 2006, 00:38
Chris, it'll likely have Reeces surname you know - Hill. Hence why I want Harry! She won't have some wacky name tho and she won't want tabloid coverage. If she wanted that, she'd have annonced this to the press and not asked Robert to tell everyone.
SeanieB
11th Dec 2006, 01:01
Melanie, scans are done in 3d these days, its almost impossible not to know if its twins!
Truestepper
11th Dec 2006, 01:12
omg Sean, I'm not even talking about Claire specifically here, I'm talking in general. Cos not everyone is rich and can afford 3D & 4D scans. In fact not every hospital offers the service. And I don't care if she'll be using some posh hospital either.
Mel...ignore him, he's a BLOKE! What would he know!

Both of you just shut up and quit arguing!!! For God's sake it's supposed to be a joyous time! First Steps baby an' all! Come on people! Stop it! If you're arguing now then what are you gonna be like when the baby's born? At each other gloating about who was right?!?! It's no way to behave at this time! Sort it out!
smelleykins
11th Dec 2006, 16:58
lol they wasn't arguing about Claire. Just in general scans and what not. And im do agree with Mel. People go through 9months and still dont' realise they are preggers etc... untill the wee one pops out. Im not sure bout twins as i only have one set in my family but yeah wasn't around to know when they was borned x

The baby is due sometime in April, right?
smelleykins
27th Mar 2007, 15:44
yesh, i think its within the next week or so.. probably two max.
To be a Taurean it'll have to be born within the last third of the month...however, it could of course be early...and end up being Aries
smelleykins
27th Mar 2007, 17:28
Ah yeah lol im useless with star signs!!
Water Goblinglitter
27th Mar 2007, 17:54
Lol I realised that straight away. Robert had it first and said there was no indication when its its due, then i read it and was like " Oi dumbarse(coz i do speak to my best mates like that) She says it'll be a Taurus....which means its due sometime between the 21st April and 20th May". meh could be early, tho first babies are normally later if anything.
Im just happy its a Taurus :p
SeanieB
27th Mar 2007, 22:28
lol why are you happy carrie! :p
Water Goblinglitter
27th Mar 2007, 22:44

Ha yeah! It'll be in her best intertest to wait tho coz Aries children are spose to be the worst!

SeanieB
28th Mar 2007, 21:29
horiscopes existed before myspace!
Water Goblinglitter
28th Mar 2007, 23:37
Yes, and they existed b4 you!!!!!!!!!!
Im not saying I totally 100% believe in it but a lot of people do and I have to say I have known a lot of people who are very typical of their starsign.
My comment about Aries being the most difficult kids was mostly meant in jest. Im not actually sure what starsign is supposed to be. Lol you do seem to have taken a lot of offence to it Sean.

Wise choice, statistics show that on average 51.2% of births are to male babies, mainly because of the male Y chromosome bearing sperm are lighter, and swim faster.

Talk about fancy. Male Y chromosone, eh?
I hope it'll be a girl for Claire as that way when the girl gets older they'll be another lovely voice to listen too.

8 days. Women tend to be allowed to go up to 2 weeks over before anything is done.
