JUNO Nominee Eva Avila to sign card at the nation's birthday celebrations in Ottawa;
President's Choice(R) wants hundreds of thousands of Canadians to sign country's largest Canada Day card to the troops
OTTAWA, June 28 /CNW/ - This Canada Day, President's Choice(R) is issuing
a call to action for Canadians coast to coast to show their appreciation for
our troops in Afghanistan by signing the country's largest Canada Day card to
the men and women stationed overseas. As part of its support of the National
Capital Commission's Canada Day festivities at Parliament Hill, Galen G.
Weston, Executive Chairman, Loblaw Companies Limited, and Eva Avila, Canadian
Idol winner and JUNO Award nominee, will be on hand to sign the massive card
and urge festival goers to join them. This card, along with a PC(R) care
package of sweet treats will be sent to Afghanistan in early July.
Weston and Eva Avila will be on hand to sign the card on Canada Day at
2:30pm at the President's Choice(R) Anthem Pavilion in Major's Hill Park,
Ottawa. The card and a special Canada Day care package chock full of memories
of home, including new PC(R) Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies and PC(R)
Organics 100% Pure Maple Syrup, will be sent to the troops as a special Canada
Day present from President's Choice(R).
