A PROMO package has landed on my desk for a new rock act.
It boasts: “Two guys, one from the north, one from the south, are putting their stamp on the world with an inspirational fusion of strong, powerful, pop melodies driven by fat rock grooves.”
Who is this exciting new north-south combo, I hear you ask? NOEL GALLAGHER and PAUL WELLER maybe? ALEX TURNER and GRAHAM COXON?
No. It’s ex-STEPS dancer LEE LATCHFORD EVANS and freelance guitarist SIMON J PINTO, who have joined forces to create one of the worst-named bands in history — The Latch.
Their biography states: “The Latch are an explosion waiting to happen.”

Newton is a C U next tuesday( ha my genius code) theres no getting away from that. However fair some of her coments may be I always feel that as fans, its ok for us to make them but as an A*hole journalist it isnt ok when she says it! WE say it out of fan loyalty and constructive critisism, she says it coz shes a nob!

lol well I DO prefer Hey You, but I really wanted See Me.
See Me has been dropped from the set list for the last 2 or 3 gigs *in order to include Second Chance again* YAY!
I don't think they'd ever release it...Lee did finally admit to there being better songs! :p

b*****d. I jiust don't like Miracle. Still if he thinks he can have a hit with it then fine.
I'm guessing it was chosen mainly cos it's being used in a film innit!

their very lucky to have had victoria newtown actually write something nice about the latch, she could've said a lot worse couldn't she

She didn't say anything nice. She basically printed their 'blurb', then slagged the name and hoped they got blown up.
