I like parts of it. But I can't see a correllation between the performance and the story so it seems a bit lost in parts. Maybe the full version will iron that out. Really liking the song now though, it has grown and grown on me.

Nice video , but I'm still not all that fussed on the song. Lee's voice sounds great and it's good he's doing stuff with his career, unlike certain people. (Faye and Claire hint hint).

Thats a ridiculous statement EVER made by a STEPS fan..., Claires bringing up a 5 month old baby, and IS actually doing something that you'll no doubt bitch about when she does it, and faye hasn't stopped working for the past 4 years touring and performing in musicals.

Fayes been in work almost consistantly for the last 3 years, shes in her SIXTH show right now. Like Sean said, Claire has just had a baby. Both are doing what the really and truely love which im sorry is the true meaning of being sucessful.

What a load of SHITE. You wouldnt be saying that if you had seen Faye's performance in Over The Rainbow. She was AMAZING.

Why do some people think just because a person isnt releasing stuff or on tv every second day they arent actually "doing" anything?? Drives me mad!

Nice song, actually quite like it. Random video though but its not all about the video.....

I know you're just a kid, but thats no excuse for such a stupid comment.
Faye has worked her arse off for 4 years with barely even a break - is that not doing someting with your career?
And Claire is very happy with her life now - shes a mum and thats a tough job in itself.

Back on topic

I think its an ok video my guess with the story is that his little girl has been killed in some kind of accident which is why he left the flowers on the lamppost and realised he should celebrate his daughters life by putting up the billboard, I do agree however that it is a bit incongruous with the song but its ok

My main questionis, is Lee hiding his eyes/face so people won't know its him???

I thought the song was O.K. Not quite my cup of tea though. But i didnt like the video at all. Whats with the "trying to be all dark and moody". And whats with the lame back story. But all in all, not bad. Now for me to join in the silly bickering. I am actually going to side with "STEPS4LIFE". Why is it whenever anybody voices the desire for claire or faye to be releasing music into the public domain (Which i personally would like to see/hear at some point in the future as they both are phernominal singers and it would make a refreshing change from the drivel out at the moment) That somebody feels that they need to defend faye and claire as if they are damsels in distress. Firstly regular readers all know that faye is an established stage performer but if you dont go to see her on stage then she might as well be on Mars or Venus. But this dosent alter the fact that it would be nice if she was more accessible to the masses via the medium of radio and/or telivision occasionally. Similarly for claire as with faye, phernominal singer, would like to see/hear more of her on tv/radio. But claire has the added problem of having a baby which some how manages to stops her from being able to function outside of the "being a mother bubble". Many mothers take 6 months or so maternity leave and then have to return to work. Im not saying thats what claire should do but the point i am trying to make here is that life goes on after child birth and it would be nice if that some time in the future claire released something. So to recap CLAIRE & FAYE are really good singers and i would like to hear more from them.

No -ones disputing what you've just said tho. But Steps4life didnt say she'd like to see them release music, she said she'd like to see them do something with their careers...thus implying theyre NOT doing anything with them and are going nowhere.
Lol and I dont think anyone said or implied that theyre " damsels in distress" as you put it. People are making the exact opposite point actually-that theyre both doing fine!

Hannnnng on.... having a baby is a PROBLEM?? God I hope you never have kids if thats your view. And Charlie isn't stopping her, but as any new mother will tell you, their baby is priority, esp in their first year where change so much.
Claire hasn't done anything since 2003 so why are you critising her for not doing anything in the 5 months since her baby was born?
And anyway by the sounds of it she is up to something, what it is we don't know at the moment. The important thing is tho is that shes HAPPY!!!

Thank you "truestepper" for reinforcing my point that any mention of claire in any way shape or form gets people throwing their dummies out of their prams (so to speak). Obviously the arrival of lil charlie is a wonderous thing and i hope claire and reece are blissfully happy. I know sarcasm is lost on a lot of people but the PROBLEM isnt that claire had a baby but the fact that when people are ranting about anybody from "steps" thare are certain points they can rant about that apply to all of the members from steps, But there are also certain things specific to each member. And one of the main ranting points for claire recently is the pregnancy/birth issue. And as TRUESTEPPER has pointed out, "Claire hasn't done anything since 2003 so why are you critising her for not doing anything in the 5 months since her baby was born?". Actually i never put any time frame on claires absence. I mearly stated that " it would be nice if that some time in the future claire released something.". But as my original point stands, Just the mention of claire gets people rattled and feel the need to jump to her defence even when she isnt being attacked and the reference to claire is to request the desire to hear more of her stunning vocal talents.

You made it seem like having a baby was a bad thing.
To be fair, I think even Claire could struggle with a solo music career. Ex band members tend not to do well chart wise. Plus I just don't think she wants to do it. She (like anyone else in life) has every right to do what she likes and tbh she doesn't even NEED to work.

tooclosetotears
20th Oct 2007, 02:16
I agree that she dosent need to work and at this stage in her life what with a new born and everything she may not want to work but i just think that with a talent like hers it would be a shame if she never released any more material.

oh shut your hole will you.

You really know nothing, you all spout on about how she should have done something before charlie well you don't actually know the facts, cause she DID do something, something that if it had happened would have had all you lot unable to control your bladders.

because it wasnt just a solo album!

Sadly for the people invloved, it didn't happen for one reason and another, and then she got pregnant... then theres not to mention her wedding and subsiquent separation from Mark.

As much as I hated her being away from the public eye, its not like she wasnt doing anything.

I meant about their music careers.

They did you just never got to find out about it!

Well not yet at least!

I'm hoping Lisa will drown in a sea of dirty nappies for a year or so tho.

Steps4life........The way you worded things implied that both faye and claire are doing nothing with their careers, whether you meant it like that or not, THAT is how you wrote it. Even at your young age you must know what you're saying.

Ok that wasn't called for! I to would like to hear/see more from Claire but I would rather she be HAPPY!

As for Faye I saw some clips of her performance in Saucy Jack's which I really liked and I thought she did well.

Should of, could of,would of...... whether she was working on an album or not at least Lee is standing on his own two feet and putting something out. Not only is he putting something out, he's not just doing what he thinks will be successful but doing what he feels passionate about. He's taking a lot of unjustified criticism and instead of bitching about who did what and when, we should be supporting him and spreading the word. He's worked really hard on this and his band has been gigging for the last three years constantly... just check his website for a list of dates he's done as long as your arm.

He's got a great song and there's no reason he shouldn't succeed where the others haven't. Support him and tell everyone else about his release.

Lol, thats the second time you've mentioned that.

Why is Lee hiding his face, hmmmm, ponder ponder ponder.

Perhaps Lee is claiming job seekers allowance and is worried that the people at the job centre will find out he is working and stop his benefit and force him to sell the Big Issue mag.

Or perhaps his behaviour in this video is his interpretation of the emotions and feelings that this song conjure up.

But don't be sad, creativity is good.
