According to the latest "Heat" magazine, Lisa Scott Lee is no more! She has officially been dropped

Its only a little caption in the corner going on about how Andy is now the only scott lee with a chance of success!

Contradiction alert!

So it doesn't actually say "Lisa Scott-Lee has been dropped" then? LoL, you're all so nasty to her. She's not been acting like a whore at all, she's been trying to make a living. She's forgiven H and Claire, written some of her own music (ok, so you might not like it, fair play) and she's taken her top off a few times too... but think back a few months to the wonderful days of Steps... and what do we have here? Lisa, Faye and Claire, all posing in just a bra! *gasps*

They're all as bad as each other and you can argue it all ways.

I like all of Steps. So Lisa has changed her image a little bit; I don't care, because she's Lisa!

...oh, and Lisa herself has said she's not being dropped within this last week. Why would she lie to her fans?

Besides that, they wouldn't drop her yet - they've not even had a proper go at her solo career, it's just starting. H and Claire has an album and it flopped, whereas Lisa has had just two singles, one of which did very well (and the other of which bombed! lol)

i agree with ur last comment - but id say this is still basically a Steps fansite - i know theres different sections for S Club 8 and all that but 99% of the people here - are here cos they like/liked Steps - and if they now hate them - then IMO they shouldnt be here - they should join some S Club 8 fansite or watever lol!

I'm surprised that so many Steps fans have turned against Lisa.

1. She's not acting any more 'slutty' than in Steps. She posed half naked then, and so did Claire and Faye.

2. She's written the music herself, in a style that she likes. People say "Aww, poor H, we wants to quit music, well, whatever makes him happy" and yet they say "Lisa is awful now, she's changed her image and music. I hate her" - well what about what makes *her* happy. That matters too.

3. She's forgiven H and Claire. Of course it's going to be upsetting having Steps split - her whole future was uncertain after the split. People have said "I hate Lisa, she holds grudges against H and Claire" - and those people now hold a grudge against Lisa! Further contradictions there.

4. People claim Lisa slagged H and Claire off. There is no evidence of this at all.

5. People claim she was only in it for the money, and she said "The first thing I worried about when Steps split is whether I'd still get free hair cuts". Well of course she's in it for the money. How many people go to work because they love it? Sure, being in Steps was a fun job, but a difficult one too. H and Claire were also in it for the money - why do you think they left? It's because they thought they'd make more money if they ditched the rest of Steps.

Give her a break for goodness sake, and drop the petty grudge against her.

This ain't a Steps board anymore you fool! Can't you read? its now a Girls Aloud, Atomic Kitten, Ritchie Neville and Dance Remix board where people can come on and share there OPINIONS! I don't care what you think as you are trapped in some time warp and are clinging on to whatever piece of your childhood you have left - Steps! this is a music message board - sites for steps, atomic kitten, girls aloud, sarah connor, s club 8 and more. i know steps split up 2 years ago, but i still support lisa - she's now finally doing what she really wants to do (not saying that in steps she didn't enjoy it), she now has the chance to control her career more and it annoys me that people **** her off for it. and if you REALLY believe a cheap, sleazy gossip mag then god have mercy on you.

That's overlooking the successes of Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Justin Timberlake, Victoria Beckham, Melanie C and to a lesser extent, Kym Marsh.

Pop stars can have successful careers after they quit pop groups - look at Posh Spice. She's not exactly a singer anymore (although she has got a single out) but she's not famous because of her 'wonderful singing' - she's famous because she married a famous footballer.

It's not official that Lisa's been dropped until a statement is released. She's been fairly successful so far. H and Claire haven't been dropped either - H has quit music and Claire's having an image change, but they were never dropped. Claire is still with Warner.

Although this is a discussion board for disussing things, there's no need for nasty comments, written purposely to upset fans. Besides that, it isn't true. Lisa's not been dropped... yet.

RIGHT. I think some of you are completely out of order and not displaying a great deal of intelligence to be honest. A magazine thats basically a glossy tabloid has said that Lisas been dropped and you take that as gospel? have a word with yourself! How MANY times did the newspapers say that Claire or Faye were pregnant throughout theyre Steps career? and how many times WERE they?? Hmmm? Or how about the amount of times they said that Steps had split when they hadnt? This is yet another peice of media speculation and dense people like some of you guys play right into theyre hands! Lisa herself has spoken out and said she has not been dropped, yes shes having to record some new and hopefully better songs ( which will be where this story comes from) but she HAS NOT been dropped. Funny, im sure if it was your favouite band/star you'd be off ranting about it, saying it wasnt true and how dare they. Touch of double standards i think.

Finally i just want to say, that even if this is true, it worries me that some of you would take such delight from it. Im sorry if you don't have much else in your lives, my hearts honestly bleeding but i mean really, whats Lisa ever done to you? You don't know her so i very much doubt shes caused you enough hurt in your lives to make u HAPPY at her misfortune. It really is quite odd. Grow up is all i can say!

oh and one more thing.... just coz Faye and Lee dont have Record deals yet dosnt mean they wont. If u only KNEW the stuff that Fayes planning you'd realise what daft comments they are!

I too am very surprised so many of you are takin wot friggen Heat magazine says to be the truth... wen Lis herself has said it isnt true - as have Universal so i hear....

and IF H and/or Claire have been dropped - rest assured - if they want to come back and release stuff - they will!

If they hav - it may be a good thing in a way - Claire can go to a good label who will treat her properly and actually promote their artists....

well I spoke to Lisa, her management and record company today and they've all said the same, she hasn't been dropped (that doesn't mean that there wont be changes in the very near future)

... but H and Claire were never "dropped" from Warner. The last 'official' statement on the website in the Summer said that H and Claire were still with Warner and we know that Claire still is.

Ok, so Warner didn't release any more stuff, but H and Claire still had a contract and for as long as they had a contract, they weren't "dropped" as such, although it's obvious that they weren't releasing any more stuff.

Perhaps people have got different interpretations of the word dropped. lol. :D

Lol Chris ( bailey) its not so much different interpretations, more that some people know more than others! I know they 100% HAVE been dropped, i don't give a toss what that official statement said in the summer-they say those things for a reason and VERY rarely to be fair to the fans and keep them informed of the truth! So i'll say it again. they HAVE been dropped ( as a duo) from warner. If you choose to think differently then thats up to you!

lol, well you obviously do know more than I do then, which is fair enough. just shows you how little the fans have been told. either way, now that h has left the music industry, h&claire wouldn't continue anyway.

Um....Heat is great? Exclusive news? Yep. Just because it's cheap compared to other mags, it's the most expensive mag of it's kind and the majority of the news in it has been true. The only ones that haven't are things like Madonna's pregnancy which are much more important and easier to get wrong than someone being dropped who has been doing rather s***e recently. Accept it, she's been dropped!

not being bitchy *cos i can't be arsed* but the album is set for a march/may time release, thats a year after Lately, will the album include Lately, a song that will be a year old (more in fact considering it was leaked....), will it include TFG, a song that wasn't well accepted. Will it include the only one I thought was half good, (burnt out and falling) - prolly not! Is single three the make or break one, will the album be released the week after single three, the 2nd week at the lastest? These are the questions that her fans prolly wanna know the answers too (not that I'm a fan, but wahtever lol), not Heat is crap, cos its not, all it was was a bitchy comment - nowt to get worked up about!

lately leaked onto the net around July of last year, so by May it will be nearly 2 years old....

Lets get one thing right here heat is a CHEAP MAG that use's hearsay for its news also if you read it right it saying that the record company are saying its not true and heat are taking it up on there selfs to make out its true due to that fact.

Well any record company in there right mind is going say its not true if it is not true, what should they say? oh lisa has been dropped but where only saying it because thats what you want to think.

ANYWAY.... back on topic! lol - Lisa aint been dropped and her third single should be released in the first few months of the new year - thus totally dis-proving and dis-crediting little Heat magazine's article!

(BTW - i personally think Lately should deffo be on the albumas it is her biggest hit so far and her most well known song -and it will probz help sell the album - so i wouldnt advise gettin rid of it!)

first off this site started as a steps website, it still is a steps website just that we have diversified and have more sites in our network of sites so just bear that in mind :)
next, H&C are still technically with warner, but whether they will release anymore records is another question altogether
thirdly, i'm not too sure about lisa, i'll email the ppl at universal here to find out more soon lol.

nope, July last year it leaked, as it was leaked with some AK tracks from Feels So Good album, and was titled 'Atomic Kitten - Lately', but it was actually Lisa! :D
