What do you think DTMYS is for the S Club 8 gang?
Starting with One Step Closer
One Step Closer was a step forward, then Automatic High was a step back with it's 8 yr old marketing, New Direction was definately a step forward but the Christmas single of Puppy Love / Sleigh Ride was another push back with it's childish sound. Fool No More was a step forward and then so was Sundown, but is DTMYS a step backward or forward in the right direction?

i definitly think this song is a step forward in the right direction. i love the song. it has a bit more of an egde to it. i think its bringing them new fans as well, like fool no more, i never like s club 8 until i heard the song fool no more.

DTMYS is definitly a step forward. Its got more credability than Sundown (not detracting from Sundown's cred in any way, but this single surpasses it) and also more maturity. Their clothes are funkier and the dance routine is very 'justin'!!!
i agree with ya guys!
I also think this single is gonna rock.... in my opinion DTMYS is way better than sundown but not too much compared with Fool No More.... I still think that fool no more is the best song so far in the album..... :P

Using the theory of the original post this is their step-forward after the step-backwards(ish) of the last single ...
FNM was pure pop - okay its not to everyone's taste, but what you expect SC8 to be doing. Sundown had this huge buildup (people where saying its excellent, great, their best song ever! etc.) and well really for me it wasn't it was that pop moving towards that sort dance-pop it never really made both, so it moved them back slightly. DTMYS (single) mix is probably moving them back in the direction which they should be heading.
Next single from the album is probably the most important, as it might set the trend for any 3rd album release .. Spring 2004 should be interesting.

If they make it to 2004 :( ! Well ive heard a few comments around school about DTMYS and most people really dont like the song! My friend Becca is an ex- S club 8 fan (she started liking busted instead <_< ) even whent as far as sayin " Oh my God that is a pile of ****!" which i think was very harsh, she then compared Busted to SC8 "Hey at least i am a fan of a group who write and perform their own songs live". I think DTMYS is sooo good, but i still prefer Sundown (that was just marketing genius) A few people have said they like the dance routine :) but thats not really a selling point for the song!
Luv ya Becca xxx

Nah its out in the right week, even if it sells 2,000 copies it'll go top 10, sales of singles are very low after christmas and into january, one reason is probably due to the sales, album prices tend to be slashed and people would perfer to pick up an album for 6.99 than a single for 3.99!
