Well what can I say, even the presenters seemed slightly shocked about the choice of outfits!
Comments to the effect of "they're only children having a bit of fun, thats all it is right there, its singing its dancing in short skirts thats all,no problem here, good clean innocent fun.
I have to say that if it was my kids I would be shocked as well.

I dont, basically it's back to short skirts and showing too much, well Stacey at least.
Dont get me wrong they are a good bunch of kids but if they were mine I would be slightly concerned as to how they were being portrayed.

I think there should be more care taken by the producers whilst filiming these shows as I doubt they are live as such and they are still minors.

Ignore those presenters, they annoy the hell out of me, always taking a stab at someone or something - just cos they can and are on the TV.
Its not like Simon Fuller is some unknown manager doing this for the 1st time is it?

All this cos a couple of presenters said something?!
Obviously working on the fans, what is it doing to the non-fans. Clever ploy by the tv program if you ask me.

Dont get me wrong people it's not filth,it's just being a parent myself I feel that they should be a bit more cautious of how these kids are shown and the image they give out.
Yes people see it and make your own judgement,it IS a good performance for sure and I for one will be looking to download it for my kids if it becomes available.
Hope I haven't offended anyone with my comments it certainly wasn't the intent, just my two cents worth :)

No, don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at people here.
Just if FANS are getting this woundup about it, what are non-fans saying? The media is very powerful, all we need is the media to say this on TV, and people who where perhaps going to buy the single thinking "humm, perhaps they have a good point I'm not going to buy it now cos of this" ... I know its extreme thinking but its not to say that it won't happen!
Perhaps they need to vary their clothes depending on where they are performing. Popworld, Disney, Blue Peter etc. all have fairly small stages and in some cases the camera men/women etc. aren't that expert at filming performances so more might be 'shown' than say if they where at TOTP or CDUK.
Points Of View the other month had someone complaining about TOTP (Mainly the Jamelia performance) saying that too much was being shown, TOTP responded saying that they do their best to edit the performance but the act wears what they want to promote the song and sometimes its hard to edit it and keep the performance so they have to keep bits they rather they didn't have to.
Now of course TOTP is live so LOL ... even more on the fly editing will be required!

The Popworld presenters have always been nasty to SC8. Even when they were in fully covered dresses they always find one reason or another just to degrade them just because of their age.

sclubber,my kids spend ages on your site.
They look at the pictures again and again, even when they have seen them before they go back to the beginning and go through them all again whenever there is something new!

this is my opinion:I think it's true that sometimes the girls (mostly stacey)wear things that are really short and reavealing, but the popworld host don't have to say that,it's not really any of there buisness. But like magicpatch said, when they're going on shows like disney or something they should cover up a bit because of the camera angles and because younger children watch it. I rest my case...lol

i kind agree with some of you. I like them to wear pants on winter not short skirts. If its summer then that's ok but winter you got to be kidding it's like minus something here.

I didn't see popworld, but looking at the picture's i'd say they were kinda right! I mean it is coming up to winter and they are wearing really short skirts and Stacey's skirt, you could hardly call it a skirt. I mean look how short it is, you don't even know what kind of people are watching them! I'm not saying they shouldn't wear them because it is up to them what they wanna wear, but do they really have to wear them in winter and that short? You hear all these things about paedophile's and god knows how many of them are watching them. You lot will probably hate me for saying all this, but just thinking about it get's me kinda worried!

I can't see where the discussion on the length of skirt and the season is an issue? Its not like they are outside performing is it?
The issue is their new look, obviously they need to look older, but they cannot do a Britney or Christina and walk around basically naked to gain sales is it? I guess their management thought this is the next best thing, but I do agree is is slightly getting out of hand at this moment.
Obviously they need a consistent image to promote the single so that if you are flicking thought the channels and see what they are wearing and you have seen the video a connection would be made before you see them perform (like in an interview) "ahh thats sc8, they have that new song out ..." etc.
As I said previously on shows like Popworld, Blue Peter, Disney the stage is well very small, the camera is slightly lower than the stage and they tend only to have like 2-3 cameras so its harder to miss certain shots.
Popworld where way out of order though, if they thought it was that bad then why on earth did the producer and editor allow it to go out, I'm sure they could have re-edited bits, its no good them complaining as its their show anyway, just spend the extra 5mins to re-edit the show to make it more 'suitable'.
Just need a slight re-tweaking for certain shows if you ask me.
Not to sound weird or anything, but if they where all 16 we wouldn't be having any of this ...

I don't really think it's a big issue. I mean it's not like they are 8 years old is it? They're just mature young adults who are growing up.

I understand how people must feel that they have to show that they are growing up and being more mature, but that doesnt mean that they have to wear short skirts to act mature.
Oh well, still love their music....

I've just seen the video.... and I thought Stacey looked fab!!! I can see the POV of the presenters totally - but whether or not it was appropriate to say it is another matter...
