You seriously do not get it. You must get over it and get on with your life!
I'm just completley sick of people who continuously goes on and on about a group that doesn't even exist anymore.

i agree with you sharn.
Sorry to say this but evryone can think and do what they want Nessa Elanessë you'r like mine brother talking about my father that died. Steps was i big part of my live they helped me to get over my father a bit. And well i was very sad when they split i felt like there was something missing in my live. I know they have not died a human but they did as as a group. And this is a steps forum we can talk about them here how we want when we want.

Well I'm well and truly 100% over the Steps split, I wasn't really upset about it when they split, and I don't cry about their split or anything silly like that.
However, I still LIKE Steps, the members of it and their music and see no reason to change just because some people don't like them anymore. Steps played a large part in my childhood, and although I'm 'over' them, I still listen to the CDs and watch the videos sometimes. I find them entertaining.
Furthermore, you don't choose what type of music you like. It's embedded in your genes. I didn't choose to like pop music - my brain likes it. So I'll like Steps forever. Now some people say they don't like Steps music anymore - that's because something better has replaced it and the brain seeks that sound instead of Steps. As of yet, I've not heard anything that my brain likes better than Steps. That's not the most technically accurate description of it, but it's more or less right.
Also, all that this thread is doing is recalling memories. Steps split two years ago and that does bring back memories of my childhood because I can remember where I was when I heard the news - it meant a lot to me back then.
Yes, I'm over them, but I still like them.

Agreed with you there (although feel free to play spot the edits ;) )
Although when Steps split there was that part of me that was upset, it wasn't like I was crying for hours upon hours. I remember the day well it was one of the main headlines on the BBC Afternoon News ... although in the morning I was told about the Split (before any annoucement was made) but the person then retracted their comments 10mins later ... so I had a feeling something was up.
I encoded the Steps concert onto DVD the other day, as stated they did good fun shows, my mum saw what I was doing and made the passing comment like "shame they did go, they always seemed like they where enjoying theirselves on stage"
Although my music tastes have changed A LOT in the past few years with getting older and all, I am still a listerner to the main commerical pop station here in London (I have Capital Disney on at times cos they play all the modern pop stuff) I need a daily pop fix - Most pop acts have trodden of the pop road and now are attempting to do other stuff, and are wobbiling all over the place.
Someone needs to take pop by the horns and drag it back up, but we probably only have one or two true out-and-out pop acts in the UK now which are having success on a major level (excluding ballad's ville Westlife) and its not enough. The US pop acts are now not-pop. *NSYNC are long gone, Britney needs a management re-direction or something to at least get her in one place rather than in 40 places musically at once. BSB are back in 2004 - I just hope they remain to their pop roots in major but as the US market isn't that I doubt that they will.
Pop Rocks - just not as much as when we had Steps, S Club, 5ive etc. Love them or hate them between them they really kept the pop going, then they all went at once!
