They arent.. at least i think they arent... but ive read some really convincing fan fics that lead me to believe they are..
with every band or group there is always an issue if one of them is gay.. try to ignore it.. generally its not true.. besides if he was gay, I think he would act that way a bit more and wear some "gay" clothing..
Theres always gunna be an issue with famous guys being gay - especially being in a pop band with other guys. Pop isn't exactly the best genre of music for teenagers to be associated with, it wasn't for me when I was at skool. I don't mind if they are or aren't. I'll still love the band and the music just the same.
Argh not another topic on this, why can't people give it a rest?
1. Who knows what either of them "are"?
2. They're 15 and 16 respectively. The fact that so-called fans want to label them at such an early age just smacks of ignorance.
3. The year is 2004, isn't society past caring about someone's sexual preference? Whether or not either of them are, does it really matter?
Hello i ment no offense by it i ment that why is most people convinced their gay by a few pics of them being close. That boy from brazil posted calvin with his fingers on aarons leg. I think he was tapping him to tell him something and the photographer caught them in the moment.

I don't think either of them are GAY - but it wouldn't matter if they were or not. And it certainly doesn't stop them being Gay Icons. However they are what they are, and their professional approach to performing and singing, should not be questioned on the basis of what there sexuality is.... or isn't?

Hello i ment no offense by it i
I realise that and my post wasn't really directed at you (though if the "issue" bothered you that much, why did you draw attention to it by dedicating a whole thread to it? ;)).
What bothers me is that people who don't know them want to label them based on short TV appearances. Furthermore, as I said, they're both pretty young in the big scheme of things - the majority of gay people I know have said that they didn't know what they "were" at that age, so how on earth can people on messageboards proclaim to know such things? As I said... it's just plain ignorant. ;)
As for why people post such things? Who knows. I think -D- summed it up pretty well.

Being Gay is Private with some teens. They believe that they may not be accepted by their peers and families. so they hide it. There could be a chance he is.. just not showing it.. i know a few guys who are... but still thats no reason to point the finger just because they just happen to do that (holding hands or w/e)
I agree with u sclub8station some people do hide their sexual feelings but all this crap about them havin their legs close it is just BS. (sry for bad language ladys) but serousily it has to stop we are getting way over our heads here.

I find them mildly amusing - not the fact that someone managed to capture a frame at a really inopportune moment, but rather that people can take them so far out of context so as to be able to start rumours, is so ridiculous it's almost funny.

You're absolutely right and it's another reason that threads on this subject bother me. In the hypothetical situation that either of them were, they'd have to contend with the same emotions as any other teenager in that situation along with the added pressures of being in the public spotlight. To have fans posting rumours on messageboards certainly wouldn't help things.
So, in summary, wether any member of SC8 might be gay or not, posting rumours helps absolutely no-one.
In summary of the summary, you're all right, remarkably open-minded and, as such, deserve medals. Ideally those yummy ones which have chocolate inside.
In summary of the summary of the summary, I like curry.
Anyway, I think I'll shut up now.

I agree, their choice. but i am seriously doubting that they are gay, at all. aaron's had a girlfriend(are they still together?) and calvin's single (i think) so i don't think that they are gay at all. but it really dosen't matter!!! i am still going to like them anyways!!!

hm.. please considered this before you guys write another topic that will be quite related to this kind of topic:
Not all members who'd registered here is above 15 years old or so. They might be some young sc8 fans who are 12 years or under. So, this kind of topic would probably be a bad thing for their young mind

not the calvin is gay thing again... calvin's not gay...
This is just going around in circles now, and I still maintain that it's hardly an appropriate thing to be discussing (see first page (http://forum.gensteps.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6319) for my reasons). As such, I'm going to end this thread here, and hopefully we can all go back to discussing more suitable things.
