I've noticed that when AK, SC(7), SC8 have a sick member, they just perform without that member (usually), and just fill in for them. Did STEPS ever do that on a TV promo, when like Claire was sick so Lee just mimed her solo in Better Best Forgotten or something?

erm..i think i remember that i read, that they appeared on the smash hits award party or something without faye, cause she went to the nme-awards, but they didnt sing..

theyve done Heartbeat without Lee on Late Lunch, and Heartbeat again without H on SMTV/CDUK not sure about anyone else, i dont think so apart from when claire was ill like you said. Lee was sposed to have apendisitus, but really he had a heafty hangover,lolo!

So, since it was Heartbeat, did they sing it live, or just mime it, since H and Lee don't have terribly relevent parts in that song (except for that stupid "baby")?

I remember reading somewhere that H had to perform the rap on 5,6,7,8 abroad when Lee was resting at home..
