It's been modified for posterity, but at the end of the day we're not an official site we're an independent site so we don't have to hedge around the fact that she's put on weight.

she's hardly some 20 stones hefer tho is she! Shes put on 2 stones - and is in the process of losing it again. Shes spent the past 8 years on diets, and she decieded to eat what the hell she wanted, whats so wrong with that!

As webmaster of the site Chris you should show more responsibility, you ask for it not to be a slanging match, yet it was YOUR news article that is fueling it!

Moving on.....

I was shocked by the pictures. She still looked good, but she seems more of a cute jolly Claire rather than "Claire: The Sex Godess"®. I still thinks she looks great, but just different then how she was which may be a good or bad thing. I am not quite sure yet. Sure I would take old Claire over new Claire, but I still like the new Claire a lot also. I am kind of undecided really.

I never got to see the article before it was edited, so I really cannot comment on that issue.

Look @ Alison Moyet... Meatloaf... and I could name a good few others who are anything but slim and are successful.. so I dont see why she'll need to lose it if she doesnt want to, besides she's hardly that big in the first place

But you should be ashamed of yourselves for slagging off Claire for putting on a measly 2 stone... Its easy to do when you're not working!

And to the people that its some huge shock to, like HELLO she was bigger in the duo than she was in Steps... did that pass you by completely?

Shes still gorgeous as far as I'm concerned... but just remember a fan isnt some1 who calls them "tubby" or words to that effect.

I've just heard what the original article was like..... I honestly don't think i've heard of something so offensive being posted on a FANSITE before in all the years I've been a fan.... whoever posted that, was WELL outta line.

And should really be ashamed. Imagine how Claire would feel seeing that being posted on a site by a fan.

Maybe that's why she hasn't been seen around in a long time...perhaps she was a bit embarrassed or ashamed of her weight gains? I'm sorry if I've come off offensive earlier...she's still sweet Claire. Poor thing :( Point is, she's happy.
