True, looks are not everything...but it is rather depressing to see the new Claire pictures next to the older ones...she was one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. It's just a shame to let your weight get the best of you.

Oh another point... you could take into consideration the angle those particular photos are taken at thats on the site, comparing them to the earlier ones.

Its a really bad angle... if any1 has never noticed Lisa has a bit of a double chin sometimes, at some angles too... I don't see people calling her fat because of it!

The thing is she managed to stay fit and healthy all through her pop career of like 7 or 8 years or whatever (between three different pop acts), so she knows what to do, she just doesn't do it.

Maybe she's super pregnant!

Yes but the point is.... she isn't working ATM, and hasn't been for the past 2 years. And when working, she was always worried about her weight, and always watching it, so when she stopped work, she wanted to stop the dieting too.... nothing wrong with that.

Anyway, shes already started slimming down again... so no doubt when she comes back on the scene *prays* she'll be in grand shape.

Personally, I don't really think it matters what size she is, as long as she's healthy and happy. But even with her extra two stone, she's hardly massive.

maybe she feels she doesnt have to,

I didnt see the article bus she seems like any mid-20's girl she puts on a bit of weight now and then esp after getting married and not having a job you cant blame the poor lass

if she's been on diets for 8yrs then she obv isn't naturally slim or she is just eating the wrong type of foods

to boost her profile she should pop into closer magazine and let them do a claires diet thing that they seem to do with every celeb these days

she will be fine being overweight-which i doubt she is- prob wont hurt her voice

She said in the NOW mag interview that she'd put on 2stones, cos she'd realised that all she's been talking about and doing for the last 8 years was diets, so she decided to eat what the hell she wanted, and why not. She put the weight on and is now back on a diet to lose it again. She's not that big and remember, the PUBLIC voted Michelle their pop idol..Kerry Katona out queen of the jungle...we love Dawn French on the tv - there will always be someone (a LOT more than you might think) that like women with a bit of meat on them - whether they be 20stones..or 11stones and have a bit of a love handle!

i totally agree with you. There is more to someones body than weight. She has brains and goods looks. She is married- her husband must be ok with her looks.
When she was in Steps they were doing alot of exercises, but when steps had stopped and h and claire were on totp singing beauty and the beast, she was a bit bigger.
If you look at the end of the road concert they did, faye and lisa were far too skinny and claire was a nice shape.
Don't forget she has a TERRIFIC voice- expecially singing live.
