I'm even more surprised that some songs which I've seen no promo for whatsoever have beaten her, namely Shania Twain (I only saw her new video on the charts today).

A shame for Lisa and the guys, but I don't think it matters. She's just signed her new deal so they won't be dropping her too quickly.

The thing is, Lisa has the Steps tag on her, no matter what she does, therefore its going to be really hard for her to make a name for herself in the Dance world.

I am not suprised it has charted so low, with no TV Promo and a pretty boring club track, compared to some of the other wicked stuff out there, its no wonder it charted low.

I think Lisa's the only one who has actually half escaped the Steps tag.

H will always be Steps because he's the one most people associate with Steps, and the rest of them haven't done anything massive in the public eye which has dis-associated them from Steps.

Yet most of the people I have spoken to know Lisa as "Lisa Scott-Lee" and not "Lisa from Steps", simply because she's been out there doing something different from Steps and calling herself "Lisa Scott-Lee" (unlike 'H&Claire' : they might as well have called it "H and Claire from Steps").

It does seem shes became her own artist now, the memory of Steps will always dominate her career as most of her fans are us Steps fans (I think) but her music is different and the clubbers like it!

i think if Claire and faye were to come back next year they would innitially get the "thats so and so from STEPS" tag...

lisas got rid of it cus shes went to the opening of a door for the last 2 years...

hopefully the from STEPS tag will slowly fall off them all once (if) they all do something

with the possible exception of H... purley cus hes called H and it sounds silly when u dont say H... FROM STEPS after...
