It's probably cause it's flat and the light isn't shining through it as much as it would with the old style,that tends to make hair look lighter than it is

I like her hair both ways! But Rochelle and Stacey's hair takes a long time to straighten-if you blow dry it, it'll be way poofy, and that takes at least an hour. If you straighten it with an iron it still takes over an hour! Probably at least 2 to get the finished effect. And it's REALLY damaging to straighten it like that all the time, unless they get it chemically straightened (and then they can't go back). Haha, look at me the hair expert :P!

I think she looks gorgeous and much more grown up with the straight hair. I was like 'ooh her and Rochelle switched hairstyles'. Rochelle's hair probably needed a bit of a rest from all the straightening though.
