Here and Now/It's the Way you Make me Feel: original versions

Hi all.
New to this site. Was a huge Steps fan and thrilled they reunited last year.
I've had the following question for a long time now and I was really hoping someone could help me with it:
Apparently, "Here and Now" and "It's the Way you Make me Feel" are cover/reworked versions of original songs released by different artists in other countries. Is that true? If so, does anyone know where I can get ahold of the originals??

Here and Now was originally recorded by Worlds Apart; a Swedish boyband I believe. It's The Way You Make Me Feel is an original track as far as I'm aware.
