Words are not enough question

do the single and album versions differ at all as just picked up what i think is a pa promo cd. it says on it words are not enough full playback (single remix) to me it sounds different but ages since i listened to the single or album versions.

the full playback bit makes me think its got to be a pa cd and maybe it was tweaked to sound more live?

Interesting post.

I haven't got the single version so I can't tell you if there is any difference between it and the album track (which is 3mins 23sec long if that helps).

How professional does the CD look?. Me and I would think many others here would love to see what this disc looks like, any chance of uploading an image of it to Imageshack/Photobucket etc and posting up a link.

Then people could decide if its just a copy tweaked by a DJ for their work or if it could be a genuine CD that Steps mimed to in the weeks before Steps imploded.

small difference

There isnt much difference between the single and album versions of 'Words Are Not Enough'. On the single version there is more instruments in the track. The only noticeable difference is listening to the first 5-6 seconds which the single version has more instruments in.

Apart from that, they are pretty much the same,

Ooooh Water Goblinglitter, you're making me feel guilty for being a very bad fan and my lack of commitment to Steps.

Actually the reason I didn't buy the single was because the video Steps made to go along with it was a cartoon (ok, posh term Animated).

Ok, no big crime in itself, but a group I was once a big fan of called the Spice Girls released a song called Viva Forever just after Geri did a runner, and it too had a cartoon video. The fact the girls couldn't be bothered to perform in person in the video signalled to me the begining of the end for them.

Yeah, so when Steps repeated what the Girls did I resigned myself to the fact that their time was running out, a bit like a tom tit waiting for the toilet to flush, and thats what happened within a few weeks.

I suppose it was a bit childish at the time but come Boxing Day I sort of felt vindicated.

yeah thats all i can see being different on this pa cd too, just more bits added that the album track didnt have.its the same length as the album version which is why i decided to ask here as never seen the version on the single referred to as "single mix" till now. will see if i can sort a scan out later.i collect promos of all sorts of acts so im more than sure this promo is real as the look of it and the wallet its in fits the time it was out.

Yeah I've never known why they did a cartoon version. The bit I didn't get was when they came back out of the mirror, surely they should have been human again? It does make you wonder really doesn't it.

they've not been human since?!?!?!

I think claire said the reason they did an animated video was "because they could" and were on tour when it was made
